A young carer is someone under 18 who looks after a parent or another family member. If you provide unpaid care for a few hours a day or over a 24 hour period of time, then you are a carer. Caring for someone covers many areas such as: washing, dressing, eating, attending regular appointments, offering emotional and social support.
It can feel scary and isolating so there is support available to help you.
Take a look at the information below to see what support you could get and you can also speak the Middlewood Team for support by contacting us via Ask my GP.
If you are a carer, please let us know so we can make a note on your health record.
