A young carer is someone under 18 who looks after a parent or another family member. If you provide unpaid care for a few hours a day or over a 24 hour period of time, then you are a carer. Caring for someone covers many areas such as: washing, dressing, eating, attending regular appointments, offering emotional and social support.
It can feel scary and isolating so there is support available to help you.
Take a look at the information below to see what support you could get and you can also speak the Middlewood Team for support by contacting us via PATCHS.
If you are a carer, please let us know so we can make a note on your health record.
