Build up of ear wax is very common. It tends to cause

• Discomfort
• Muffled hearing
• Waxy discharge

The mainstay of treatment for ear wax build up is using medical grade olive oil. This is available from your local pharmacy. It takes about 2 weeks to work.

The NHS no longer offers ear syringing for wax build up, however there are local private providers.
