The Maxwells Return

Drs Debbie and Wayne Maxwell Join The Middlewood Covid-19 Vaccination Effort

We were thrilled to welcome back Drs Debbie and Wayne Maxwell to support the delivery of the first Covid-19 vaccinations. As many of the residents of Bollington and Disley will be aware Debbie and Wayne recently retired from General Practice, but have continued working in Medical Education and Dermatology respectively.

Once the vaccination program was announced they were amongst the first to volunteer their services, being eager to participate in whatever way was required. As they noted, “We are delighted to be involved in the Middlewood Covid vaccination programme…it has been a real privilege to be part of such a superb collaborative effort and to see so many of our former colleagues and patients.”

The feedback from the sessions has been overwhelmingly positive and it was great that Debbie and Wayne felt the same way – “the sessions have been so well organised at Poynton Civic Centre. The use of this site also allows GP services to continue without significant interruption, at Bollington, Disley and the Poynton sites”.

Finally, we couldn’t agree more with their wise words of these last two comments…

Every member of the local population has their part to play – be it attending for the vaccination when requested, helping with transportation or even just being patient and awaiting their turn.”

“We would encourage everyone to be vaccinated when invited to attend and thus help us all turn the tide of this pandemic”

We are well placed in Middlewood to continue to deliver the Covid-19 vaccines in a safe and efficient manner and as rapidly as we receive them. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s support.
