The End-of-Life Partnership is currently offering free sessions for family or friend carers residing in Cheshire East and West. These sessions aim to provide support and guidance to individuals who are caring for someone nearing the end of their life.
The following sessions are available:
- Confidence to Care at the End of Life: This session is designed to give participants the confidence to care for someone at the end of their life. It covers topics such as understanding the natural process of death, learning how to offer comfort, and addressing common concerns. To book this session, click here.
- Grieving before Loss: This session focuses on the grief that can arise before the loss occurs. It explores the emotional challenges associated with losing companionship, plans, dreams, and identity while the person cared for is still present. - Grieving when Caring Ends: Former carers often experience complex grief due to the dual losses of the person they cared for and their role as a carer. - How to Plan for the Future – Advance Care Planning: This session aims to increase knowledge and understanding of planning care for oneself and the person cared for.
