School House Surgery PPG Message
The Schoolhouse Surgery Patient Participation Group: Covid 19 Message.
Life in lockdown in Disley has almost become the norm as we are all becoming used to self-isolating during the Corona Virus Pandemic. Many of us have got used to queueing outside the Pharmacy, and the Co-op and we are all learning to do without things we thought we needed. Clapping for the NHS is now a regular fixture BUT none of us ever thought we’d have to manage without being able to pop in to The Schoolhouse Surgery. In Dr. Maurice’s first blog on the new Middlewood Partnership website he explains that the open plan, friendly layout of the Surgery prevents effective infection control provision at this time, as it is impossible to separate potentially infectious patients from vulnerable individuals. The whole article is available here.
The PPG at The Schoolhouse Surgery fully support the actions which the current Covid19 pandemic has forced on our GP service, and on behalf of all the patients of The Schoolhouse Surgery we say a big THANK YOU. We are very grateful for the selfless and dedicated work of our doctors, nurses and administrators as well as the team at Well Pharmacy in Disley. The Schoolhouse Surgery team are still working hard to meet the health needs of Disley residents, even though face to face appointments are not possible at the moment without patients travelling to Poynton or Bollington. AskmyGP is the preferred way to reach the regular Disley health care team but you can still call the surgey on the usual numbers. We are all waiting to see the ‘BUSINESS AS USUAL’ notice on the surgery door, but in the meantime, don’t hesitate to contact your medical team if you have any health care worries and don’t forget to stay in, stay safe and follow the Corona virus guidelines.
