Meet the Volunteers

Those of you who have already been to the vaccination centre in Poynton will know how marvellously efficient the whole operation runs.  This would not be possible without our splendid volunteers and we are extremely grateful to all of them for their support. We thought you might be interested to know a bit more about some of them!

Name:  David Black

Occupation:  Retired GP

Motivation to volunteer:  Payback time for a wonderful career in General Practice!

Experience of the vaccination centre in Poynton:  Exemplary organisation and well supported, with a very friendly atmosphere.

Feedback from those being receiving their vaccine:  All very friendly and very grateful – 100% positive!

 

Name: Moira McGrath

Occupation: Independent safeguarding consultant, retired NHS nurse.

Motivation to volunteer: Wanted to use my nursing skills to help the community and the NHS.

Experience of the vaccination centre in Poynton: Excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Wonderfully well led by Dr Rachel Hall.

Feedback from those receiving their vaccine: A few nervous about side-effects, but in the main all extremely grateful and happy to receive their vaccine.

Motivation to Volunteer: Wanted to do something to help out during the pandemic.
