Vicki Austin

Vicki gained a BSc (Hons) in Physiology from Leeds University in 2008. After qualifying as a Physiotherapist from The University of Birmingham in 2010, Vicki has worked as a clinical specialist physiotherapist within East Cheshire NHS Trust with specialist interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and sports injuries. Vicki also practices Acupuncture and is an APPI Pilates teacher. Vicki is completing a 3 year Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice at Manchester Metropolitan University. She works closely with Orthopaedic consultants at Macclesfield District General Hospital in fracture and elective clinics. She has a specialist interest in MSK injection therapy, radiology interpretation and clinical research. In her spare time, Vicki enjoys the gym and playing hockey for Macclesfield Ladies Hockey Club

Jenna graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2016. Since then, she has worked as an inpatient and outpatient physiotherapist for NHS organisations in Birmingham and London, before specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) physio in 2019.
Jenna then worked as a specialist MSK physio in London for a number of years, before moving to the Macclesfield area in 2024, when she completed her MSc modules in neuromusculoskeletal triage and qualified as a First Contact Practitioner. She joined Middlewood in 2025, working as a physiotherapist to support our Any Qualified Provider (AQP) contract. She has a special interest in menopause and it's impact on musculoskeletal health.
Away from work, Jenna is a keen hiker and Crossfit athlete.

Jenny joined North West Ambulance Service in 1998 working on Patient Transport Services for a short time, before joining the Emergency Paramedic Service. She qualified as a Paramedic in 2000 and spent 10 years working solo on the Rapid Response car from 2012. Jenny now enjoys working as part of the Middlewood Visiting Service and Urgent Care Team.
Outside of work, she enjoys running, going to the gym, and socialising.

James joined the Musculoskeletal First Contact Practitioners Team in October 2025. He qualified from the University of Kent in 2007 before completing a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Brighton in 2010. James worked as a physiotherapist in East Sussex between 2011-2017 and then moved to the Royal Bolton Hospital, where he worked in a combined MSK and persistent pain role until 2019. James began working as a First Contact Practitioner in 2021 and has additional qualifications in injection therapy and non-medical prescribing. Outside of work, James likes walking or running in the countryside with his wife and their energetic Sprocker Spaniel, Lupin.

Caroline qualified as a physiotherapist in 2015 from St Georges, University of London. She has worked as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for over 10 years, working across the NHS and Occupational Health services, and began working as a First Contact Physiotherapist in 2020. Additionally, Caroline has also completed training in injection therapy.
Caroline joined Middlewood in 2025, working a physiotherapist to support our Any Qualified Provider (AQP) contract. She is keen fell/trail runner in her spare time.

Jack is part of the Musculoskeletal First Contact Practitioners Team. Jack is a physiotherapist by background, having graduated from Keele University in 2011. He worked across East Cheshire NHS Trust for 9 years, mainly as an Outpatient Physiotherapist, before being successful in starting his Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice with Manchester Metropolitan University. He also works alongside the Orthopaedic Consultants at Macclesfield District General Hospital as part of his training.
Jack has a specialist interest in sports injuries and works at Sandbach Rugby Club as part of the Medical Team.
