I am self-isolating and my employer has asked me to provide a sick note – can you give me one?

When your absence from work is related to having symptoms of Covid-19 or you are living with someone who has symptoms, an isolation note can be used and not a normal fit note to provide evidence of the advice to self-isolate.  You can obtain this without contacting us.

You can do a self isolation note for your employer on line by clicking on this link 111.nhs.uk/isolation-note

If you have to stay at home and feel well enough to work, you should as your employer if you can work from home and so not need an isolation note.

Employment and Support Allowance

Those who need to claim Universal Credit or Empolyment and Support Allowance because of Covid 19 will not require either a fit note or isolation note. More information can be found here.
