Help and support for people with dementia and their carers

It’s Dementia Action Week (16th -22nd May) and the Middlewood Partnership is launching a new section on its website dedicated to dementia that provides lots of useful information for carers or people with dementia or experiencing memory loss.

Commenting on the new pages, Dr Ben Pease, the Dementia Lead at the Middlewood Partnership said:

We know that living with memory problems and dementia can have a significant impact on day-to-day life. But it is possible to live well with dementia. We hope the new dementia section of our website will support carers and people living with dementia and memory problems and help signpost them to other useful sources of information.”

The dementia section includes a link to a new guide launched this week to support people living with dementia and their carers.  The guide has been developed by Poynton Town Council, supported by Poynton Dementia Steering Group.  It contains useful information about services, support and groups which are available locally along with their contact details. If you would like a copy, please contact Sharon.duke@poyntontowncouncil.gov.uk
