Flu vaccines clinics

It is getting into autumn now and the nights are drawing in.  We were hoping to be at the stage of inviting our patients to our flu clinics.  However, as you may have seen in the press, there has been huge disruption to the flu vaccine delivery schedules due to driver shortages.

Middlewood was fortunate to receive a batch of flu vaccines last week and so we can commence our flu vaccination clinics.  Current clinics are:

17th September 09:00-12:00 Disley Community Hall

18th September 09:00-14:00 Poynton Civic Centre

25th September 09:00-14:00 Poynton Civic Centre

Please note – these clinics are by PRE-BOOKED APPOINTMENT ONLY.  Invitations have been sent out by text message and we are working on contacting those eligible people without a mobile phone.  Patients are being prioritised in much the same way as for the covid vaccination programme – starting with the oldest and most clinically vulnerable.

With regards to the covid vaccination boosters, there remains much uncertainty around this and it is not yet confirmed if the Government plans to go ahead with a booster programme for anyone.  Middlewood is NOT currently able to offer a covid booster.  If this situation changes we will inform our patients as soon as possible.

Many thanks

The Middlewood Partnership
