COVID vaccine update

A message from Middlewood

Thank you to everyone for the support and kind words you are sharing with our staff at the vaccination clinics –it does make the world of difference.

We appreciate that so many of you are keen to get your COVID and Influenza vaccines as soon as possible. As always thank you for your patience.

We wanted to let you know that we are working under very tight vaccination stock restrictions, and because of this, we are limited in how many vaccines we can deliver each week. Can we respectfully ask that If you have an appointment with us, and are not able to attend, that you let us know.  We have had a high number of patients not attend for appointments which makes it very difficult to plan the vaccination supply for the clinics. If you booked online from a link on your phone, you can cancel online, alternatively you can telephone the practice or message us via AskMyGP.

We are aware of the recent publicity around NHS walk in clinics for COVID boosters.  The clinic that we are running at the Poynton Civic Hall is not a walk in clinic and is a by appointment only clinic for patients registered with Middlewood.  Please only attend if you have an appointment booked.  As shared above, we have a very tight vaccine supply and do not want to risk running out of vaccine for patients who have appointments booked.   We continue to invite patients in order of priority.  If it is more than 6 months since your second dose, you are over 50, or in one of the clinically at risk groups, and have not received an invite for a booster vaccine, please contact us via AskMyGP.

Thank you again for all your ongoing support.
